Michelle L. Spezia

Michelle L. Spezia grew up in St. Louis, Missouri and attended high school at Villa Duchesne. She graduated from College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and then attended Valparaiso University School of Law in Valparaiso, Indiana. While in law school, Michelle studied abroad at University of Cambridge, United Kingdom, focusing on international and comparative law. Additionally, she was an executive board member of Valparaiso Mock Trial, where she competed nationally in trial advocacy competitions. She also maintained a regular column in the law school newspaper, The Forum, during her tenure at Valparaiso.

After law school, Michelle moved to Nashville, Tennessee and began practicing consumer bankruptcy law in early 2008 with Mrs. Ausbrooks at a different firm.  After almost 10 years of practicing at other firms, the opportunity arose for her to work with Mrs. Ausbrooks again. Michelle focuses her practice on the representation of debtors in Chapter 7 liquidation and Chapter 13 consumer bankruptcy restructuring. Michelle also specializes in filing Chapter 7 bankruptcies for small businesses.  Michelle resides in East Nashville with her husband and daughter.
